Meaningless Stat Time

Just passed 500,000 page views (since June, 2003) within the past hour.  Wow.  Have I mentioned I like metrics?

[Update: for a little perspective, First Draft recently crossed the 2,000,000 page view mark. Damn Holden and his stupid little ponies!]

Congrats! Celebrate with Impeaching Bush!

By a margin of 53% to 42%, Americans want Congress to impeach President Bush if he lied about the war in Iraq, according to a new poll commissioned by AfterDowningStreet.org, a grassroots coalition that supports a Congressional investigation of President Bush's decision to invade Iraq in 2003.

The poll was conducted by Zogby International, the highly-regarded non-partisan polling company. The poll interviewed 1,200 U.S. adults from October 29 through November 2.

The poll found that 53% agreed with the statement:

"If President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment."

Yeah, I saw that poll a while back. Mighty big IFs: "IF Bush lied" (we all know he did, but he's cleverly set up the "bad intel" figleaf) and "IF the Dems take back Congress (which they will, IF they don't fuck up this time).

I'd like to mention I recently celebrated my 18th reader! So there! Ha! IN YOUR FACE STUPID FLANDERS!

Just remember there will always be someone better than you out there and someone worst than you. So for you to feel crappy always remind yourself of the people who have more or are "better" and then if you find someone who has less or is "worse" you can find something about them to make you feel crummy like, "Sure Spocko has fewer page views but they are QUALITY page views! Not like my viewers who just come here for the cheap booze and views of my pets. It's not as if they come for the WRITING or incisive wit." There now don't you feel worse?

I'm comparing my self to my sister's blog that was started 3 days ago and already has 19 readers and has been nominated for best new blog of the decade.

Have I mentioned I hate "metrics"?

I will be celebrating my 3000th visitor soon. Now, what's the URL for spocko's sister's website?
