If They Don't Impeach You After 100 Days, They Don't Impeach You

Maybe it's 200 days...

Impeachment and removal of a president is a constitutional myth. It became a myth when Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon before a trial for massive crimes could be held, its mythic nature became fixed when the Republican bumble tumblers presented the case against Bill Clinton to the Senate.

The presidential form of government is an enhanced danger to democratic government, especially when a presidential successor has the power to pardon the man who chose him to be president.

Our 18th century Constitution is falling apart under the strains of the 21st century. The extent to which it always ran on the far from certain honor of men is ever more apparent.
