The Difference Between What I Would Forbid And What Congress Permits

A post from last year about warmaking powers and Obama's drone war provides backdrop for this: I cannot disagree with the assessment that Obama can do whatever the fuck he wants, thanks to Congress.  Astonishing that the branch ostensibly closest to the People can obstruct him on policies that help us all, but appears unwilling and unready to revisit the AUMF and reign in executive power to project violence across the globe.  An extremely dangerous dysfunction.

I'm starting to think that maybe somebody ought to consider trying to possibly do something.  I mean, you know, right after we make sure everybody's armed to the teeth and nobody can get contraception.
