Canine Wanderings Update
Yes, I know you're all riveted by the newest semi-regular blog feature: Where In Fletcher Is The Pack (Who Let The Dogs Out?).
Kayla's track last night, along with real-time monitoring of Mex, shows there was something interesting at the school. A little scary to see them out sniffing along School Road, but it's well-lit with security lights, they have reflective collars and there's rarely anybody driving on it that time of night, so I kept my cardiac arrest in check.
Mexico's loop was wider-ranging than his sister's, and he spent significant time in a field ~450 feet to the north of our house, but they clearly stayed together for a good while before Kayla decided it was too cold and headed home. Neppy, per the usual, came home first and looked like a snowball--he loves to roll around.
I'll be very curious to see how far the Wander Twins go in warmer weather. I suspect it's further, but perhaps not such a wide range as I once thought. I still am very surprised that given how long they do stay out they haven't gone even 1/4 mile from home. Loops, zig zags and time earnestly sniffing in one spot seem to chew up a lot of time.
