No particular order. Captions to come.  Have to run off to the rally at Rabin Sq.

[Update: rearranged pics, added captions.  Background: we started out inside for our legal briefing and meeting with Haneen Zoubi, then retired to the lovely environment in Meir Park for the clowning.

Not sure I can get pics from this evening's demo up tonight.  Definitely won't be writing much about the day just yet.]

The first Arab woman Member of the Knesset spoke to us of the problems faced by Palestinian Israelis.  (She apologized for the sunglasses: she'd misplaced her regular glasses.]

Jodie decks out in clown gear.

You'll see plenty of Patch Adams below the fold...

Rae enjoys our political clowning workshop.

Some transformation exercises led by our Israeli friends who are part of the Clown Army.

Some other silly exercises.

Manijeh gets into it.

Apparently clowning involves, uh...being a clown.

Fungus role plays an IDF soldier, with a curious onlooker.

Practicing for tonight's antics.

A typical first reaction to seeing Patch wander around.

Keeping a human shield.

Then the coy running away and looking back.  Another snared by Patch's magic.

Adults had similar reactions.

Patch doesn't age discriminate.

Getting a 105yo's son into the act.

She warms up quickly, as does her caretaker.

This kid on a bike immediately enjoyed the act.

This guy stuck around a long time.

Some were scared at first...

...but Patch keeps the interest and they start squeaking his nose...

...and moments later let Patch spin them around.

Patch in his Doctor role scolded this man for smoking.

You know I can't resist dogs.

Over by cafecafe where I edited the pictures before our march.

“That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college!”

Clowns are still creepy.
Looked like fun, though.
