Another Goassussen Peak

The only poll worth paying attention to™:

Forty-one percent (41%) of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President-elect while 16% Strongly Disapprove. Those figures give Obama a +25 rating in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Approval Index, his highest rating yet.

While Obama’s numbers keep getting better, numbers on the economy are heading in the opposite direction. One-fourth of all workers are worried about losing their job and the Rasmussen Employment Index has fallen to a new record low. Just 14% of workers report that their firms are hiring new workers, 24% say their firms are laying people off. Overall, consumer confidence has fallen 46% since January 2007.

I'd posit that the divergence we see in 44's rating and the economic numbers means that people are realistic about the situation and have growing confidence in his leadership.  Personally I'm quite optimistic that he will help mitigate our current crisis...

PS--I will be blogging new highs and lows in addition to the regular Sunday edition.  You are thrilled beyond belief.
