Veep Thought

Obama's choice of Biden is looking more and more like a brilliant move in light of McCain's selecting Palin.  If Obama had gone for Hillary Clinton, I suspect that would have energized the other side much as Palin has ours: you'd probably have seen donations to the NRA or somesuch skyrocket and McCain wouldn't have to work so hard to shore up his base in October.  Biden is not somebody large swaths of people would get up in arms about.
