Warnings
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday the Bush administration explicitly warned former President Jimmy Carter against meeting with members of Hamas, the Palestinian faction that controls the Gaza Strip and which is regarded by the U.S. as a terror group.
Rice, attending a regional meeting on Iraq's security and future, contradicted Carter's assertions that he never got a clear signal from the State Department. Rice told reporters that the U.S. thought the visit could confuse the message that the U.S. will not deal with Hamas.
1) Fuck you "warning" any US citizen, let alone a Nobel Peace Prize winning former President, about working for peace.
2) What a shitty message that the US will not deal with an organization that has popular support with an oppressed people the current administration has shown no goddamned interest in constructively working with.
3) You were warned once, but somehow missed it...

There's a double-standard for you: she (most condi-scendingly... ha!) blasts Citizen Carter for meeting with what she thinks is a terrorist organization, yet she has no problem when he meets with her own terrorist regime. Pfft!
What's your response to this wonderful bomb dropped by Hillary today?
>>Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that her comments that the United States could “totally obliterate” Iran if it made a nuclear attack on Israel had been an attempt to return the United States to Cold War style deterrence.
Does this mean we get more wars-by-proxy and a new Red Scare too? Or I guess it would be a Brown Scare? Olive? Anyway. And a further buildup of arms, and supplying the same to all the pawns?
"Woot!" yelps the war industry, as it slaps on a "Hillary '08" button.
Which reminds me, check out my new post (the first in way too long, as usual)... Dennis for Veep!

I wish they'd support Carter's efforts. That'd really be something else.
As for nuking Iran, the atmospheric debris and resulting nuclear winter, however temporary, would make the Krakatoa brownout look like a warm partly-cloudy summer day at Swami's Beach.
