Rin Tin Tin Memorial Packblogging

Amazing what an impact Rinnie had in just the month he was here.  Having a third voice when bad guys were in the yard, seeing him sitting in the mud room when I'd come home, with Mex jumping all around him and Kayla behind him, barking and bowing, joining the others when "it's time to get up," etc.  Quite a presence missing now.

Hanging at the Fortress just after the New Year.

Such an eager, attentive boy.

And life carries on.

Let's play!

So it begins.

Quite a dance.

Oh yeah?

Yeargh!

Sam reclaims his traditional spot on the stairs.

It's STILL winter?

That big dog's gone, right?

Yes, he is.  Vinnie never really got past the toleration stage, mostly I think because he really doesn't like loud noises and Rinnie was a veritable bull in a China shop.  Even then I still had all 6 animals in the bedroom with me at night, with The Old Man sleeping in his nest at the foot of the bed.  Sigh.

NTodd - Sorry that Rinnie wasn't long for your extended family - but good on you for taking him into your house.

What a face on that old guy!

He was lucky to have spent his last days in the pack that owns you, NTodd. You done good.

Peace.

I'm so sorry, sweetie. You were so good to give him a home where he was warm, and loved, and had friends around him. You and your brood truly are proof that kindness exists.

Loved that dog's face. Reminded me of some of the old retired cowhands I've met.

It's fun to see Kayla and Mex having a good play. :)

I left a long comment that didn't get saved.

NTodd, all my heart aches for you and the pack.

I was so happy when you took Rin Tin in, you did good buddy.

But it aches me to have him leave so soon, and my ache is nothing like yours.

Rainbow Bridge has lots of our friends running in the largest pack ever, and I know Rin Tin is up there in the lead.

A beautiful memorial for Rin Tin. You were so kind to take him in and care for him the way you did. I know this was a difficult and sentimental loss for you and your family and our hearts go out to you. He was a great big dog and will leave a great big hole in your heart I'm sure. Fill it with all the memories -
Our best,

Dr. V
