Expanded Packblogging

Sam braves the basement steps, maintaining way more buffer than he needs.

Not taking chances, even in the basement, the Punkz retreat to high ground.

There. Are. FOUR. Dogz!
Another tiring day winds down...

MY GAWD HE'S HUGE!
hopefully the trip to the vet will bring okay news and the cats will eventually accept him. The dogs don't seem to mind!

I guess he gets the couch if he wants it......

That bottom pic is highly amusing.
Kayla and Mex cast the same wary glance at the new arrival, and Rin Tin seems pleased as punch with the whole situation. If we were to describe the petz as moutains, Rin Tin 'd be Everest and the rest would be foothills (ok, well, maybe the catz would be molehills).
I'm surprised at Sam. He's been through this so many times already.

You are rapidly qualifying for sainthood. The photos are marvelous. And Rin is gorgeous...he should be very happy with the crew.
Good work.

flory - Rin won't get the couch because he can't make it up the stairs, or even onto a couch. He'll be a groundling because of his DM, but he will indeed dominate that space as soon as I get carpet remnants down so he can ambulate more.
Lesley - Mex is funny when we do group pictures because it's difficult to control multiple dogz, and he gets so worried that he's in trouble when I shout "stay!"
Sam was outside today, came in with Rin standing there, hissed, calmly walked by and retreated to the basement. Lola came within 2 inches of Rin's snout before moving back, rubbing the basement door. So they just need to get used to a rather large beast in the house and they'll be fine. Rin really wants to meet them.

Good lord, that's a big dog! What is he, about 8 feet tall at the shoulder? Some of it must be the camera angles.
Welcome home, Rin Tin! I hope the Punkz and Sam will come around sooner than later.

I am shocked at how small Mex and Kayla seem next to Rin - and I know I should not be shocked at how calm they seem around him; after all these are your dogs and not mine. Mine never listen to me and go ballistic around a strange dog!
The old boy is still beautiful though. May I suggest a microwave warmer or a dryer towel to help Rin at night with his aches and pains.
You are the best NTodd.

hey NTodd - you are the best.send your address and I will send "Hip Health" for Rin Tin. It is absolutely the best for arthritic hips......

As the proud parent of an aging german shepard; welcome to the club. They are truly sweet, calm and loyal dogs. Our 12 year old shepard loves her floor pillows (she takes two) since the couch is a climb these days and the stairs are definately out. Bless you and your pack NTodd.

Just realized the score is even now: 3 cats, 3 dogs...how about some fishes or birds next?
