Unusual Fucking Organisms

Jesus, even my favorite astronomer is going nutsoid over DK's comments about UFOs.

For the record, I've seen several UFOs.  And while they were probably airplanes or swamp gas reflecting the light from Venus, I still found the experience moving when I considered my place in the Cosmos.  But I guess that's pretty fucking goofy compared to saying God told me to bomb the shit out brown people...

Plenty of normal people have seen UFOs. In France there is that whole dept. of their space agency that studies what they are careful to call "aerospace phenomena", because people do see stuff. And crash into it sometimes.

I've seen ball lightning. Three in one storm, one of them right in front of the window where I was standing. This ball of plasma is just hanging in the air and drifting slowly downward, then it comes near the power lines and accelerates toward the building parallel to the lines, then the power went out.

Oh it changed color too, it was blue and then red or red and then blue, I can't be quite sure in my recollection which way it went.

Anyhow, after that I found out that ball lightning was a complete myth and didn't exist at all.

It was disappointing to me to think that I could have seen something people don't believe in.

Then apparently some convention of scientists saw ball lightning.

And now they believe in it.

I am still a DK gal (and by that I do NOT mean Donna Karan). I would rather him than the current mess. He has a plan, he has a regard for this country unseen in the current assministration's 7 years (GAG!) in office. As I said on First Draft about a similar story a couple of days ago, I would rather a "kook" (as another commenter there referred to DK) in the WH than a Kool-Aid drinker! Better to have some weird respect for UFOs than NO respect for anything. :)
Peace!

I saw a UFO many years ago. Coincidentally, at the time I was dressed in beaded rawhide and full-feathered headdress.

Anyway, the fact that DK had this experience and was willing to talk about it, means that he is open to new experiences, which I admire.

I've seen two here in the Valley; both looked like distant stars. One appeared to get brighter/nearer then zoomed off and away at an angle. The other slowly moved along straight over a few degrees of clear night sky then flew off and disappeared along a different angle.

I was waiting in line at the Tempe Improv that second time. My spouse shushed me as I described it, so that other people wouldn't think I was crazy.
