Yes, I Am A Dirty Old Man
Emma was not sure whether she could take on a further two Potter films as well as complete her A-levels at her £3,500-a-term private school in Oxfordshire, do a gap year and start university.
She did not want to compromise her academic career whatever the financial incentives.
In the end, bosses have agreed that she will film some scenes in September for the next film and then be given a long break until January so that she can make inroads into A-level coursework for geography, art-history and English literature.
She has also been given every Monday morning off to allow her to study.
Intriguingly, it is said that her divorced parents, Chris and Jacqueline, were giving her conflicting advice about whether she should sign up for the final films or not.
However, the ultimate decision was hers. At the moment, the money is held in a trust until she is 21 and she is simply given a monthly allowance. But her parents, both lawyers, are thrilled that she is proving to be such a sensible starlet.
Smart, sexy and rich. Guess I'll have to wait until she's 21 instead of counting the days until her 18th birthday on 15 April. And now I'd better check to see if NTodd's Pa wants to go to the flick with me this weekend...

Well, NTodd, I will join you in the Dirty Old person group - have been waiting for Daniel Radcliffe to turn 18, myself... But even Rupert is kinda cute, too.
Since I took today off, I might pop out to the cinema myself...
Blessings,
Elspeth

Elspeth - yeah, Danny's looking rather hot, too. Did you see his picture in the linked article? Dear me...

speaking as a father, when i look at young emma the only emotion i can conjure is that which is probably felt by most fathers when their daughter brings home her first date - see "bad boys II" for reference.
i reserve my dirty old man impulses for women closer to my own age - kate winslet being a mere 10 years my junior, for example...if i had shown interest in her when i was, say, 18, it would certainly have been improper...
none of them would have me, improperly or properly aged, of course. and that's probably just as well.

Viewing that dress she's a sure subject for Fugly.com. What is it with these newly rich girls? They have all the money in the world and buy the ugliest clothes.

Emma's gonna need *two* restraining orders?

Hmmm, that pic of Daniel is a bit, well, 'blue oyster bar' if I do say so myself...but those eyes!!! He looked positively smashing in his suit on Leno earlier this week. It was so cute, he was rather nervous, but would that I was merely a 20 something than having recently achieved my *sob* 40th birthday...I would be doing my utmost to get a study abroad program in England...ahhhh...
Emma is delightful, even in a less-than-fab frock, at least she is covered and at least she shows an interest in underthings, whereas all the 'merkan 'celeb' young playthings do their best to avoid such hindrances.
I wish Emma ALL the best in success and happiness. :)
And to NTodd, may your real life Emma-type appear soon! ;^) Perhaps even in veterinary scrubs? hee hee!
