Time To Dust Off That Resume

The only poll worth paying attention to™:

Thirty-nine (39%) of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-nine percent (59%) disapprove. Those figures include 19% who Strongly Approve and 44% who Strongly Disapprove.

While those numbers are weak for the President, recent polling has even bleaker news for Republican Presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich—50% of all Americans say they would definitely vote against Gingrich if he is on the ballot in 2008. That’s the highest level of opposition measured for any Presidential candidate.

Is Gonzo gone yet?

I kinda get the feelin that some folks will approve of Bush even if he starts mashing kittens with a large mallet before every meal. I'd bet around 30% would still back the screw ball
