Wednesday Rasmussenblogging

The only poll worth paying attention to™:

The day after Election 2006, 45% of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove. These figures include 23% who Strongly Approve, and 41% who Strongly Disapprove. The incoming Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, (D) is viewed favorably by 24%, the same rating enjoyed by the outgoing Speaker, Dennis Hastert.

Those who follow Rasmussen Reports on a regular basis were not surprised by the results last night. See how our final polls compared to actual election results.

Now that Election 2006 is behind us, it is time to begin tracking the march to the White House for Election 2008.

Shorter: well, that sucked ass, but the only poll that really matters is on November 4, 2008.  But yeah, Assmussen did really well on the Senate and Gov results.  And the Dow sure liked yesterday's outcome!

What are my Batshit Insane Future Ex-wives saying?

  • Althouse:
    • I love the way the Democratic victories count extra because there was a "legendarily efficient White House political machine" artificially boosting the Republican side. When the Republicans win -- don't you know? -- it's not because people actually want them to win, but because they have devious ways of jacking up the numbers. That way, if Democrats win even a modest margin, it's a dramatic turnaround, a sea change.  [Ah, the Banal Blogging Bint channels Bobo!  She also doesn't like that a blogger who doesn't like her doesn't act like he likes her in person, apparently.]
  • Magalangadingdong:
    • A minimum wage hike?!  I'm really trying to keep my spirits and yours up, but stuff like this ain't helping...And, of course, as I noted last night: Illegal alien amnesty is on the way. [Shorter: OMFG, the Dems had a plan to give working people an almost-living wage, and we might even let dirty brown people in on the action!]
  • The Headmistress:
    • It can’t be any worse that poop-scooping the sopping leav-ed-rotted-figg-ed-pine-needl-ed covered yard after flooding rains… [And her cohort, Coach TC thinks it's just the Peter Principle at work.  Project much, kids?]

Cry me a river...

Oh you Repugs are so hilarious! You controlled the House, Senate and Presidency and yet you wonder who can you possibly blame besides yourselves for losing the election and/or screwing the country.

You know if you guys took some responsibility for screwing things up you might have been respected. For example had W publicly fired Rummy a couple of weeks ago you probably would have not lost as badly last night.

Nope, this is a wake up call that the Republican party needs to re-evaluate itself and, this is the ironic and hilarious part, show that it is not out of the mainstream.

Looks like the mainstream booted all your asses yesterday.

The above comments are meant to "trackback" by the way. I dig Dohiyi Mir and for some reason I see it tracking back from Michelle Malkin's site.
