Wednesday Rasmussenblogging
The only poll worth paying attention to™:
Forty percent (40%) of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his job as President. Fifty-eight (58%) disapprove. These figures include 21% who Strongly Approve of the President’s performance and 44% who Strongly Disapprove.
...
The President’s party enters Election 2006 in a far weaker position than Election 2004. Two years ago, virtually the same number of Americans identified with both the Republican and the Democratic parties. This year, Democrats have a five percentage point advantage in terms of party identification.
Feel the Bushmentum!

I think the Foley scandal will doom him. It's so odd, but while logic, intelligence, and sense are completely lost on the American electorate, weird little scandals motivate them. Thank the jeebus this one came alonge.

Well...it's like taking down Al Capone on tax fraud. I'll take what I can get...but even still: 40%? Who knew we had so many zombioid assholic walking dead among us?

This year, Democrats have a five percentage point advantage in terms of party identification.
If asked by a polling org, I'll identify as a Democrat. When I vote next month, I'll vote straight 'D'. When I note how many of my party's senators and representatives voted for the Crown Bush King of the World Act, I wonder what I will say to those same pollsters next year. Jeebus, do I have any representation in Washington? any with the 'nads to take a stand when it counts?
Still, if a sex scandal helps, I'm grateful for the help. Too bad about the pages... but they're not the only ones threatened with being screwed.
As Avedon Carol recently reminded us, getting rid of the King or at least those who have sworn fealty to him is Job One. Thus I still urge everyone to vote Democratic. That advice was made easier by Revoltin' Joe's departure.
(Departure? de-party-ture? Can I not handle even one glass of wine w/o getting silly?)
