Thurzday Dogzblogging
A little dog pop psych: Mex loves playing outside because he was pretty much locked up for about half of his 2.5 years; Kayla loves being a homebody because she pretty much lived outside for some undetermined amount of time in her 2 years.
I mean, the girl likes going outside and wrestling with Mex in The Meadow and stuff, but when she's offleash she prefers to lead me back to the house instead of following us further out. So now I let her go in and Mex and I have Boyztime without her. Kayla just prefers the comfort of "inside", which is the command she most reliably follows!

Uh...I don't recall leaving my slipper on the couch.

Oh, Daddy, shutup.

Great, Dog #47 is back.

Mex does have fun with him, though, so no worries.
Why yes, I am enjoying the new cam. I'm particularly astonished by how fast the focus works. And I really dig how many settings I can control with thumb wheels instead of having to navigate the onscreen menu.

The expression of #47 in the last shot is hilarious. Mex seems to be showing his wisdom teeth to great effect.

Keep on coming back to the top shot of Kayla. Nice soft earth tones and subtle lighting on Kayla's fur and her little emergency stash of toys. The tilt bothers me a bit, compostionally there's nothing to catch Kayla from sliding off the sofa and off the page.

Didn't there use to be rules about dogz and the furniture?

I think I have those same slippers. LL Bean's wicked good, right?

Nah, that's just play!

Precisely the point! No matter how comfortable, even with a security blankie, a spare bone, and Daddy's slipper, you might still have your world turned all akilter and you might even slide off.

Yes, but with no wife around to enforce the rules, I don't give a shit.

They are indeed Bean's. Mom got them for me because I was always stealing Dad's at the Fortress of Solitude.

Wow, Mex has really got that "Devil Dog: Hound of Hell" thing going, hasn't he?

Ivy - yeah, which is why some of the schoolkids are afraid of him. But he really is just playing, and almost everybody in the neighborhood knows it--he's rather...(in)famous.
