Star-studded Partay
Did A Very Special FCB at City Hall for the official launch of Burlington Telecom. See how festive it was?

During setup a couple hours before the event.
Long day, but fun. More pics of the party and dignitaries below. Mex and I spent some extra quality time at the schoolyard tonight, so there are a coupla starry shots as well.
Oh, in other news, the Socialist Republic of Vermont now has universal healthcare. I guess that's cool, but I want broadband Internet access, damn it.

BT's Tim Nulty. We had him as a guest on FCB last summer when the whole thing was just a glimmer in his eye.

Hey, you're going to have the coolest Internet when you grow up.

Lots of videocams from various media outlets were there. We were told by this lovely woman that we were the most interesting thing to film. I think she liked me.

Puppy!

Former BTV Mayor (and losing 2004 Dem candidate for Gov), Peter Clavelle speaks about the efforts to win support for BT during his tenure.

Yup, James Gandolfini was there! Sorta. You got a problem with that?

Sigh.

Commie Mayor Kiss, currently ruling BTV with an iron hand.

Mayor Kiss promises we will exceed the Five Year Plan.

Haven't seen clear skies much of late, so couldn't resist a shot of Jupiter. Star on the left is Zubenelgenubi, part of Libra. Galilean moons: Io, Europa (barely emerging from the planet's glare), Ganymede and Callisto. You might also see two faint star streaks to the right--just a couple Hubble objects.

From left to right: Saturn, Mars (looks like a bright leaf sort of in the middle) and the twins, Pollux and Castor.
Bill will be editing our cast sometime. Me? Tired. G'night.

Ah, NTodd...your photographs. Always wonderful.
Have you thought about breeding? How old are you, dear? Not to be too personal and all (though I clearly already have been).
How would it be if I wished you a Good Woman and a couple of kids?
Would that be a good thing? Or maybe I should just mind my own old lady bidness.
Go ahead and say. I won't take a fence.

Let me add: you were probably the first person to notice and be kind to me when I first started at Eschaton, and I have never forgotten that, so I have an (appropriate) affection for you.

Can I move to Vermont? please? pretty please? Me want socialists! Commies, even, if necessary, but definitely socialists! And healthcare coverage that is not my biggest single expenditure every month! :)
The pics are great. I need to re-view the astronomical shots, particularly the first, on the old but good CRT instead of the laptop's adequate but not spectacular display.
