I Flew

And boy are my arms tired.

Ahem.  Gorgeous day, mid-70s, very light breeze, and after getting a bunch of work done I was able to carve out an hour or so for biking: 19.3 miles at a new high 17.4mph.

I've started keeping track of a 4-ride moving average (figure that's an average week), and that makes 20.7 miles at 16.7mph, compared to the overall season average of 13.0 miles at 15.9mph.  Slowly but surely making progress.

When NTodd's Pa's Wife recovers from her knee-replacement surgery, maybe the whole family can go on bike rides like we did when I was a kid!  Or maybe not...

I don't keep track... but I enjoy a turn on the velocipede as well. Typically, about six or seven miles at lunchtime.

With the new knee, I'd say prepare for a family race! Our family bike rode in the town Pride March on Saturday and we made the paper. I wish the photographer had focussed on us(!) instead of the darn crowd + balloon rainbow! And, just like Waldo, I ask: where's Iris? She's actually wearing a rainbow dress, but I don't see her anywhere.

My husband and I have purchased recumbent bikes and are rediscovering the pleasures of biking! I will never ride a wedgie bike again!

I think that's a great idea. A goal for NTodd's Pa's Wife to work towards. Knee therapy!!!
