The Angry Left
Yup, that's us. I guess WaPo's still pissed that we fucked up their shit with Turtlegate.
Oh, and yeah, god damned fucking straight we're angry: Bush sucks worse than anything has sucked before, has gotten us stuck in two quagmires whilst he looks for a third in Iran, and fucks poor, defenseless goats. What will we tell the children?

PS--Please don't forget that Norbizness is actually The Left. I cannot speak to how angry he is, however.
PPS--Of course Maryscott has blogged this. And why the hell won't anybody put my angry blog on the front page? What carbon-based organism--other than a turtle--does an unhinged lefty blogger have to screw to get noticed by the mainstream media?

I'm angry too, NTodd -- in my own style.

Actually, Finkel contacted me for this article about the time the L'il Debbie contretemps was raging, so it was no doubt almost completed by the time the Ben Dovermuch scandal exploded.
But yes, the storyline was set - when he pitched it to me, one of his first comments was he wanted to do a piece on the "Angry Left."
My reply: "Grrrrrrrr!"

It's a big problem that the left may be seen as "angry." The previous stereotype of "wimpy and effete" had been going so well.

It isn't me. I admire MSOC as a person, but her way is not my way. And really, NTodd, why would you want the WaPo to do to you what they did to her? That article was a total hack job.

As always, Thers NAILS it.

I think they want us to be shrill, snivelling, stomping our wimpy unwarrior-like tap shoes, clenching our tiny little fists and pouting. What they don't see is the strength needed not to have tantrums and threaten to nuke everything if other countries are not impressed with our macho-like manliness.
Diplomacy, education, scientific reasoning, respect for other cultures and people, what other things have been jettisoned overboard by this cabal?

Why are you limiting the options to carbon based? Perhaps screwing inorganic matter is the secret.
Didn't think of that, didja?

Hit Job. What was up with the picture?
I agree with Thers.

"My chest is aching and it burns like a furnace, the burning keeps me alive"
(Talking Heads - Life During Wartime)
Someone pointed out to me that the last line in the song was interesting too:
"you'd better watch what you say"
Better to be pissed than to lay down and die. Angry Left suits me fine. Everyone should be angry by now, not just the Left (that damned amophous blob).
