How Was School Today?

Great!  Excellent group of students, so the day went by very quickly.  And I had a wonderful bike ride after.

I decided to explore a bit of the area and took a left at a promising crossroad.  Ended up riding along some lovely wooded, meandering roads with little traffic and few driveways.  I eventually figured out where I was and realized this was a perfect loop.  It ends up on a road that's somewhat parallel to the one I begin on, so it's got the same icky hill, but it's straighter, has fewer crossroads, driveways and cars, and was a bit easier to manage as a result.

Did 9.6 miles, a new season long, at 14.9mph, which drags down the season average but is significantly better than yesterday.  As the cheesy Verizon slogan goes: making progress everyday.

Barf!

I view it as giving them my honest opinion as a consultant.

You silly. Consultants aren't paid to be honest!

making progress everyday.

As a slogan, it beats "Your world. Delivered. To the NSA."

Whoops, my bad.

Did you finish your homework?

Um...just now.

As a slogan, it beats "Your world. Delivered. To the NSA."

I picture a lovely ad showing smiling children playing, beaming parents, gardens and neatly trimmed laws...er, lawns.

Diary of a dog -- Day 2: They do say familiarity breeds contempt, but it was not mean spirit that made me jump all over Grandma when she finally came to see me last night... it had been a long, lonely day. I sometimes have trouble shifting gears after exciting play, but I did settle down fairly well last night after a self-imposed Time Out chewing Daddy's shoe in the living room (Grandma found it this morning). I sleep deeply against good ol' Grandma.

Ah, NTodd. I am so glad you brought up bike-riding. I don't think I rode my bike much last year. This year, I plan to do so, though. It sounds as though you had a good time. Thank you for reminding me.

Hee.

Grandma smart lady. Make sure Daddy's shoes are easy to find. Grandma's shoes hidden.

Hee.....
