Good Advice From A Handsome Man

WalterNeff weighs in on the stupid things JPod said about Jill Carroll:

I sold a policy to a bulldozer like this John Podhoretz once down in Glendale. Wouldn't wait for me to finish my pitch before he started in yappin' like he knew the twist on the last page. I told the drip to snap his trap 'til I was finished laying it all out on the linen table for him. 'Course when I was all done and had it wrapped up in a big red bow he came over to my side and signed on the commission line, my line. Like I always say to the know-it-alls and spit shines, "wait 'til the story's south before you go run your mouth."

That goes for the Little Green Psychos and all the other wankers in the wingersphere.

[Update: JPod has a new whiny post up:

On Thursday morning, I put up these words on this blog: "It's wonderful that she's free, but after watching someone who was a hostage for three months say on television she was well-treated because she wasn't beaten or killed -- while being dressed in the garb of a modest Muslim woman rather than the non-Muslim woman she actually is -- I expect there will be some Stockholm Syndrome talk in the coming days." For writing these predictive words, which were entirely accurate, I've been pilloried all over the blogosphere. Weird, especially in light of Jill Carroll's statement today, which was an effort to address and quiet precisely the kind of talk I predicted would take place.

Shorter JPod: I WAS PROVED FUCKING RIGHT!

Yeeeeeah.  I'm sure you were trying to warn people off from the Stockholm Syndrome talk.  How amazingly prescient and considerate of you to write what you did when the news first hit.

Not only mean-spirited and stupid, but an inept liar, too.]
