Nighty Night
Just got back from dinner with the folks for NTodd's Pa's birthday. Before that, we saw Munich--yes, a movie about the triumph of the human spirit and violence and shit is the perfect flick for a birthday! Anyhoo, I'm too tired to do anything with it, but I really liked the film, despite its horrific echoes in today's world.
Below the fold are a few pics from a walk before we headed to town. Anyway, two celebrations of life as bookends to a movie that reminds us how fragile and precious it all is.

3/5 of the pack head toward The Woods (not our woods, but a larger place about a mile and a half down the road).

Mex was fascinated by the cows, and they seemed mildly interested in him.

And now the llama's curiousity was piqued.

Making sure we're really leaving.
This was the first time we left the animals alone together for an extended period. All three were still alive when we got home, and there were no messes to clean up! Life is good.
And with that, I am done. G'night.

Didja check the liquor cabinet? I told Sam to take it easy with the booze -- but three kids left alone?...you know how that goes...
Does Mex get annoyed that he's on a leash and Cairo isn't?
And does Cairo *ever* go outside without having a stick in her mouth?

NTodd has got to check his slippers for uh... special treats and sometimes the bedspread is ... decorated. A cat can take revenge in the most unexpected ways.
Wonder if Cairo's love of sticks will rub off on Mexico?

Love the cow sequence, with the punch line shot of cow peeking around barn.
And what does the sign on the tree (just in front of your beautiful wife) say?

It's a yellow "Posted" sign. No hunting, trespassing, etc.....

I might just have to get you to do some guest cow blogging at my place some time. Those are too cool!
