Unhinged
No, this isn't a post about Michelle Malkin's latest screed disguised as a book. Got my Dell notebook back today after the LCD panel and its hinges were repaired. NTodd happy with that, though annoyed that the break occurred and the Dell repair guy was all pissy about "someone" trying to fix it--yeah, sorry that I wanted the piece of metal sticking out to, you know, not stick out until I could get it repaired.
Bad quality assurance and techs copping a 'tude. Michael Dell: your company and its products are as unhinged as Malkin.

We've had luck with our Inspiron so far - it seems to be reasonably well behaved - but its owner still marvels at how the owners of iBooks can yank 'em out of a book-bag and boot 'em up in nothing flat. (Not that Macs are necessarily perfect, but they're well-made for their constituency.)

Eh, not all iBooks boot up fast! Just ask Bill Simmon...

Dell sucks to high heaven.
I have a Dell notebook that I bought because it was nice and light, i.e., easy to get to and from school. I've had the thing for just under three years and the keyboard has been replaced (not making this up) FOUR TIMES. It's going for keyboard number five tomorrow. They keyboard just falls apart every six month or so.
