Got up to 41F today!

Sam watches snowmelt drip off the roof from a dry perch inside.

May get down to 39°F here tonight!

Whatever Sam is watching, he certainly has an intense gaze.

Got up to 41F today!

Tee hee.

I'm totally distressed because I finally had to turn the heat on today.

*sigh*

Ha flory! I thought about the heat...but I ignored it, being in Southern California. Winter is just 10 minutes on Friday December 17th starting at 9am. Then we have spring. Actually the two seasons we have are summer and not summer.

In Houston, we have two seasons, "the-leaves-bee-greene" and (no, not the nuts) "the-leaves-bee-browne." If you see brightly colored leaves in Houston this time of year, it's most likely a non-native tallow tree, and a good candidate for removal.

And if, after reading the paragraph above, you now have an "earworm," you probably listen to a lot of Elizabethan songs.

Hey ntodd,

I think this quote from "christian soldier" in the Wa Post article is one of your quotes, no? The title is "Omen on the High Court: Marble Falls From Building's Facade, Spurring Theories of Symbolism.' (Nov. 29th)

We finally turned on the heat yesterday. Bay Area.
House interior temp was 52 degrees and rainy. I tried to hold off as long as possible.
