Monday Samblogging
Allergies are waning a bit, so Cairo, Sam and I went on a little safari in the backyard:
The boy pokes his head out from the deck railing, wondering where I'm headed.

Sitting by the old stone wall on the southern side of our property, pondering his next move as the chipmunk he was stalking was alerted to his presence by Daddy.

Sam is every woman's dream. A handsome, cool cat who enjoys a good adventure now and then.
I am soooo going to have to find me a fellow like that.
By fellow I of course, mean cat. I don't think the hubs would be thrilled with my bringing home a cat much less anything larger.

I'm very fond of every cat's built-in self-cleaning feature. And NTodd, that shot of Sam tidying up is priceless!
wanda, don't underestimate your spouse. Within a few days of your bringing home a cat, mr. wanda will probably be fawning over it and making cute-kitty noises... and maybe even taking pictures you can post on your blog. Guys really like cats; some guys just don't like to admit it right away. I grew up around dogs, but eventually that feline self-cleaning feature won me over!

My Dad hated cats until he remarried. My stepmom raised Siamese and converted him quite nicely to sharing his desk and other spaces with them.

While Sam is definitely a cute kitty, being deathly allergic to cats (my throat has closed up twice thanks to kitty allergies) I've learned to admire them from afar.
So thanks NTodd for giving me a way to admire cats without having to make a run to the ER.
Dogs, on the other hand, I can handle 24/7. And speaking of dogs...???
You know what comes next :-)

I've never seen so clearly the reason why the Egyptian women drew their eyeliner in such a shape. Sam's eyes would make Nefertiti proud.
