When Do I Catch The Bouquet?

Koufax Awards have been announced.  Guess what?  Chicken butt.

ntodd

PS--Really, congratulations to all the winners.  I admonish my readers to patronize (in the good way) their sites.  Even Suburban Terrorist, who beat me and the dreamy Majikphilosopher in the Most Deserving of Wider Recognition category.  I also came in second to dKos' Meteor Blades for Best Commenter.  Couldn't have lost to better people.

You shudda won, I tell ya!

Was Susie on the front page of the Los Angeles Times today ? I think not. Meteor Blades, if that's his real name ? Nope. As I recall, it was nTodd column 1 above the fold. There was a picture of Condi and some guy in drag, both wearing the same red dress, but that was below the fold.

How can you be deserving of wider recognition when you, your, dog, and Steph are on the front page of the Los Angeles Times?

Hey ntodd, just sent Susie from Philly a congratulations. She has a great blog and I was torn between voting for you or her. However, I did vote for you--something about your photos, plus the hunk factor (an after event, I know), will find me here everyday.

Really, it's an honor just to leave a comment on the blog of someone who was nominated.

Susie - oh, no you wouldn't. All the phone calls from Gannon and the White House staff are murder.

ellroon - gracious is as gracious does. The terrorist really deserves traffic, if only for her banner!

Aeolus - oh, sure, rain on my pity party.

mer - I appreciate your tough choice. One might say I've had an accountability moment.

Chris - it is indeed an honor. Don't let it go to your head.

[You all know when I'm snarking and when I'm not, right?]

Congratulations! It would be almost impossible to choose between Meteor Blades and you. It should have been a tie, at least.

You do have a much appreciated sense of humor. Makes you Numero Uno in my book.

my name is not rob, roy, ron or GiGi, and i didn't vote for you because you FAILED to LINK to MY BLOG!!!1!

seriously, i just started reading over here and i think you should be proud of even coming close. in time, i'm sure you'll enter the ranks of the Internet Immortals. congrats!

Well, you didn't win. Too bad for the kittens -- if I don't carry through on the threat to kill them if you didn't come out on top, I'd lose credibility...

Ah, what they heck. I'll need 'em for hostages for next year too.

Posted by: Thersites | Feb 23, 2005 6:56:43 PM

pie, cd - thanks!

Thers - uh...I'm glad you need the kittens as hostages?

Posted by: NTodd | Feb 23, 2005 7:02:50 PM

I have a dog who has taken up marking the end of my bed every evening, would you like to hold him hostage? In all other ways he is absolutely perfect.
Seriously, NTodd We did try. I drummed up votes for you, and new traffic for your website.

Fight the Fight, my wise and snarky friend.

Posted by: The Heretik | Feb 23, 2005 7:34:08 PM

Congrats anyway, NTodd. I did vote for you after you asked cos, well, I don't know what I'd do without seeing your furballs every couple of days. (Hmmm...does that need to be reworded? Nah.)

Nice recognition for needing more recognition.

Here's a dozen of my favorite purple irises and yellow roses ;-)

You did great. It was an amazing race this year. I need a month off just to recover from compiling and counting.

Actually, I'm going to spend some time working on my fun project. Good for the soul.

Posted by: MB | Feb 23, 2005 9:50:10 PM

Oh, well, there's always next year, right?

Posted by: oldwhitelady | Feb 23, 2005 10:40:34 PM

Who sez Meteor Blades ain't my real name?

I would have been happy to split the Koufax award with NTodd. But, as I said over at DKos, I'm keeping the cash.

Posted by: Meteor Blades | Feb 23, 2005 10:54:58 PM

Congrats on the nomination. Wel;l deserved. Ba'al has spoken.

Posted by: Ba'al | Feb 23, 2005 10:59:51 PM

Get in line for the pity party I'm having over here at BBWW. But at least you made it to the finals! Good going!

Now go read something.

NTodd may be a hunk, but I'm the greatest thing to hit the blogosphere.

They call me PustuleBanger!

Posted by: PustuleBanger | Feb 23, 2005 11:31:20 PM

I think you should have won just for indulging me in my Sam obsession.

And I promise not to take him hostage.

And not just cause I live really far away.

Never mind, NTodd, I thought your piece on "What Kerry Should Say" was sheer brilliance - brilliance, I tell you.

Congrats on the votes .... you deserved them. And keep up the great work!

To be the second best commenter in all of blogtopia is no small feat. I'm still aspiring to be the 1,987,483rd best commenter.

Suburban Gorilla Terrorist mentions you, NTodd: http://suburbanguerrilla.blogspot.com/2005/02/queens-night-offit-was-long-night.html

Okay, okay, so I'm wallowing in self-pity for no damned reason. It's my blog and I can cry if I want to.

And ellroon, yes, Suze had me show up at the awards ceremony as the official stipper. I don't remember doing it, but I'm told I was good. I'm still a bit ashamed, since I'm not 8" cut like a certain other world-famous whore we know.

(Shit, did I just type that out loud?)
