US To World: We're Cool With Torture

I'm heartened that most of the Dems who shamefully voted to confirm Condi as SecState (including Vermont's Pat Leahy) partially redeemed themselves today.  Here are the Senators (all Democrats, of course, save lone Independent Jeffords) who stood up for America's ideals, in order of voting:

PPS--I believe Baucus, Inouye and Conrad abstained. [the roll call confirms this]  Not sure about Nelson of FL or NE.

The only comfort I can take is knowing I can point out emphatically and often every action this creep will do. The repubs own this presidency and everything that is wrong and will go wrong with it. Clinton can no longer be a punching bag. It's Bush's tar baby.

I called Inouye's local office. He was travelling and thus not in the chambers to vote. He had previously put out a press release saying he couldn't vote for Gonzales.
