Inside, Outside...What's The Difference?

Bush in Brussels today:

Lasting, successful reform in the broader Middle East will not be imposed from the outside; it must be chosen from within.

Bush went on to signal to his good friends and sponsors of terrorism, the Saudis, that they can take their sweet-assed time reforming.  "Go ahead and hold 'elections' that disenfranchise women," he said. "Clearly you haven't chosen successful reform yet.  I would never dream of forcing you to be a truly democratic nation.  We've got Iraq for that."

Warning that Iran might possibly be exploring the potential idea of nuclear weapon-related activities based on some darn good intelligence that just could be almost fairly accurate and not at all sexed up for political purposes, the president wondered aloud, "I don't think Persia is technically part of the Middle East, right?  Okay, so when--if--we invade and find out somehow we were wrong again, we'll just impose reform from outside and declare victory."

At a cocktail party later, Mr. Bush confided that by 'chosen from within' he "meant chosen within his Cabinet" with the assistance of convicted criminal and Iranian spy, Ahmed Chalabi.

Snark noted. APPLAUSE rises. FADE OUT.
Well done, N. Trust you and your flip side both feeling better?

I did read that Chalibi is probably going to be the "chosen", in the end.

Heretik - I'm rapidly closing in on 100% recovery. Still a littly snotty, but my mom says I've always been that way. Stef is in that uncomfortable stage where she wakes up feeling like crap, improves a little throughout the day, then right about now begins to fade. I recall that lasts for 4 or 5 days. But she is getting better, thanks.

owl - oh yes, his stock is once again on the rise. Jeebus, are our prisons so full of innocent people, we can't afford to lock up the guilty any more?
