Don't Forget To Water Them

Bush at his press conference today:

I firmly planted the flag of liberty, for all to see that the United States of America hears their concerns and believes in their aspirations.  And I am excited by the challenge and am honored to be able to lead our nation in the quest of this noble goal, which is freeing people in the name of peace.

The president was then asked how he would accomplish his goal of "freeing people in the name of peace." Quick on his feet as always, Bush replied, "we'll fucking invading any country that's not free."  He went on to say that the United States would then plant the "boot of American military bases" surrounded by the "vinca of freedom" and the "azaleas of tax-free municipal bonds" in the "garden of Western-style democracy" all over the world.

Freeing people... but we don't mean freedoms that matter, like freedom from low wages, freedome from poor insurance, freedom from bad presidentts.

Nope, that we are stuck with

"Freeing people in the name of peace" - doesn't necessarily mean we have to keep peace. Just in the name of peace. We kill them and say it was for peace... oh, yeah, that sits real well with me.

The knights who say NI want shrubberies. We need to send Bush on a quest...a really really long quest...to cut down the largest tree in the forest ... with a HERRING!

Geez, first we have flags claiming piles of crap, now we have gardens of freedomanliberty. Soon we will have lawnmowers of democracy..or something.

Apparently he said variants of "looking forward" about 3000 times during the press conference. All of them combined, one after another after another were the 'top three sound bites of this day' on Olbermann. It was pretty funny over and over and over.

Worse, though, he nervously laughed when he claimed to value life (of the dead marines). "We WEEP..." while he laughs.

What a creep.

They should start printing Bush coupons in Iran.

"Invade a country, get one free!"

Codespeak for religious reactionaries:

Freeing people in the name of peace, but just substitute "Jesus" for peace. We all know who is is really talking to and what he really means. Saving those people for Jesus.

Remember what the "tree of liberty" is supposed to be watered with. Bush hasn't forgotten.

Fighting for peace is like fucking for chastity.

"vinca of freedom"

I thought it would have been the "wild carrot of freedom." If you know anything about wild carrot, you know it crowds out all the other plants and chokes them to death.
