Pleasant Surprise

The number of people continuing to collect jobless benefits rose by 29k, but jobless claims fell by 5k last week, which surprised economists.  Still weak, but there are hopeful signs. The big question remains: is any of this sustainable in the long-term?  Color me skeptical.
