No Concession

Yeah, baby:

"We've waited four years for this victory, we can wait one more night," Edwards said, standing outside on a cold, drizzly night. "John Kerry and I made a promise to the American people that with this election, every vote would count and every vote would be counted."

If there is a wise and just God, this man will be our next VP.

ERRR... HOLD THE FRONT PAGE!

Well I am trying to be pragmatic about this. Here comes the pitch:

GW got us into the mess we all talk about and he finally has to take responsibility for it and try to get us out of it. With so many things fundamentally wrong with the economy and a dangerous level of global instability thanks to a radical foriegn policy, theres a real chance that things might take a dive. But... If things get better and we have actually 'turned a corner', then what does it matter? Credit where credit is due. Whatever works! If, on the other hand, things descend into a hideous mire, as many of us have predicted then I doubt having Kerry in charge (with his Bush like stands on many key issues) would be any better at managing the coming crash, war, terrorist attack (put your own bad thing here)... With GOP control in the house and senate he wouldn't have the muscle to make a real difference.

If it all goes sour, GW should be there to carry the can for the situation he has brought about. It's actually a good thing they didnt get to shift the blame onto someone else by tossing them this hot potato of a situation.

So for better or worse.. We are in GW's hands now. I hope he doesnt fuck it up, but I fear he might. If and when he does, the root cause of any future malaise will be perfectly apparent.

Yeah, I can see that, and I hope you're right. I hope history fucks George up real good.

There is a wise and just God. She just has a sick and twisted sense of humor sometimes.
