What Was That About The Reality-Based Community?
Michigan's former GOP Gov endorsed Kerry:
The Bush campaign dismissed Milliken's endorsement, saying he led under a different time."We didn't have the threat from terrorists who want to kill us," said John Truscott, a spokesman for the Bush campaign. "We didn't have the same kind of war going on. This election and these times demand a strong leader who's decisive and who will tell the truth."
Um...yeah, he led when we had the threat from Soviets who wanted to kill us. We also had Vietnam, a 4GW/moral conflict, going on at the beginning of Milliken's tenure. So I guess in a sense, he led under a different time: a time when reality trumped ideology.
And that last line is just so precious...

Milliken is a class act from the word go. He did a great job during his terms and he is still active in good causes - like land conservation. Kick his ass, Bill.

"Precious" is one way of describing it. "Revoltingly nauseating" would be mine.

This election and these times demand a strong leader who's decisive and who will tell the truth. TELL THE TRUTH? sounds like one of those EX-A-GGER-ATIONS.

We have to rely on Jon Stewart to tell us the truth. That tells us how far gone we are into the pit of doom...
