Other Than That, How Was The Parade?

Okay, I know Superman died, which makes me sad. And the Senate passed that Frankenstein monster of a corporate welfare bill today. Did anything else of import happen while I was teaching?

What sort of fresh hell might tomorrow bring?

Ken Caminiti (baseball player) died too young, likely because of his drug addictions. Mariana Rivera's wife's cousin, and that cousin's son, were cleaning his swimming pool.... and the son touched an open wire and was electrocuted. And the cousin died trying to save him. So Rivera may not be back right away.

Beyond baseball.... welll, I guess Sinclair Broadcasting is one big issue. The Bush letter to the AFL-CIO is another. Them's the biggest stories I can think of that might be of note to a Massachusettsian.

frickin' sinclair bastard. his actions and motivations are so blatantly partisan and do you think that anyone is going to do anything about it? i don't have much hope on that.

the man who makes the anti-kerry flick that sinclair is making it's stations run (forgoing regular programs) was made by a guy who is friends with fellow vietnam vet tom ridge. it took him six weeks to make his flick, ""Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal,", and immediately after he finished, sinclair just happened to know about it and just happened to contact him about running it all over the public airwaves that they own.

Shit, I think I prefer not knowing what's going on in the world.
