Leaf Peeping

On Buck Hollow Rd in Fairfax.
Cairo and I headed to Fairfax to shoot the Intersection, then took the long way home along some back roads to catch some foliage while avoiding flatlanders. I posted several shots in Autumn in Vermont.

speaking of leaf peepers, including resident tourist types like myself (in my case since 1988), someone I know -- who happens to akes some of those buttons that people sometimes wear with all sorts of statements or the like -- has one with some old Vermont country humor that *says* something along the lines of: If its called tourist season, why can't we shoot 'em.
:-) [smile]
while I am in no way advocating that Vermont makes tourist season one to hunt tourists during, especially as I believe in non-violence in its various forms [seriously} -- not to mention it would not help the state's economy much either [grin], I still think the saying is funny.

...in Southern California, the poplar trees (cottonwoods) leaves turn kinda yellow and then blow off... and then the Santa Ana winds blow in hot and dry from the desert and if we're lucky only blow down all the Christmas trees in the their lots.

You know...the word "tourist" is not that far from "terrorist."

Dude. That is some good shit right there. Seriously. You should see if you can sell it to a calendar company or something like that. Mind if I grab it and use it for autumn wallpaper?

As a deeply-closeted, very senior White House official might say, "Faaaabulous!"
My favorite is the one of your neighbor's tree against the high clouds and blue sky. Awesome.

Man, what an ugly ass place.
Could you please try to avoid photos of Bagdad?

mwb - I like the button slogan! Sometimes the peepers really annoy me.
Darryl - I like CA, but I'm glad I live where we have distinct seasons. Even winter.
Tito - Quick, tell Ashcroft!
Michael - Glad you like 'em. Steal what you want--I'm working on going commercial, but ain't there yet.
Quaker - Thanks! I regret to inform you that most of the leaves on my neighbor's tree are now on the ground. It's been very windy.
j - Sorry, I'll focus on Fallujah from now on.
