Unfit To Wipe My Ass

My copy of Unfit for Command arrived from Amazon just now. No time to read it at the moment since I need to head out to run some errands. I've got it sitting on my end table right next to Tour of Duty, and I can already tell which is better: Kerry's biography is twice as thick as the smear book (and yes, I'm giving RD, Ron, and Hubris a nice soft pitch there).

Anybody who doesn't think this book is simply an attack on Kerry should read the inside cover:

In Unfit for Command you'll learn:
* How two of John Kerry's three Purple Heart decorations resulted from self-inflicted wounds, not suffered under enemy fire
* Why John Kerry's third Purple Heart "fanny wound" was the highlight of his much touted "no man left behind" Bronze Star
* How John Kerry turned the tragic death of a father and small child in a Vietnamese fishing boat into an act of "heroism" by filing a false report on the incident.

My instant review: They are completely devoid of honor.

I'll have more insight when I read the book. Fortunately it won't take too long because there are fewer lines per page than in Kerry's book and there are only 185 pages of actual content (not much more than the 150 pages of official service records Kerry released on his website).
