Unfit To Tell The Truth
Just got my confirmation e-mail from Amazon that Unfit to Command has just shipped and should arrive on or about the 30th. Alas, it might have been a complete waste of money as I see that we have even more documented evidence that John O'Neill is unfit to say anything about Kerry without lying. CNN:
O'Neill said no one could cross the border by river and he claimed in an audio tape that his publicist played to CNN that he, himself, had never been to Cambodia either. But in 1971, O'Neill said precisely the opposite to then President Richard Nixon.O'NEILL: I was in Cambodia, sir. I worked along the border on the water.
NIXON: In a swift boat?
O'NEILL: Yes, sir.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
Now, O'Neill may have an explanation for this but he has not returned CNN's calls. What does seem clear is that a top member of the swift boat group is now being held to the same standard of literal accuracy they've tried to impose on John Kerry.

Bye, bye, Swiftie Liars for Lies.

How many stakes through the heart does this thing need? It is so dead, it is almost hysterical when another SBVT staggers up with a talking point only to be exposed as a liar and beaten down with his own record or words.
I realize that all Rove wants is to cast doubt, and that it doesn't matter when the truth shreds his lies, the lies (however briefly) have the chance to confuse. But let's not allow this one to just disappear, because Bush and Rove obviously are going after Kerry's character in smear after shit-throwing smear. Let us expose this now as the lies they are, and show who ran the show, who created the lies and propped up these poor fools. The next lie will be less likely to get the huge press, nor get only the neocon talking points if the framework is laid out for all to see.
The SBVTs' hatred has blinded and poisoned them for 30 years and they just got used and abused by Rove. Can you imagine how ugly that must have made their lives all this time and how pitiful they look now?

And to burn Kerry's limited money, and to take up Kerry's limited visibility in the SCLM with something off-message.
I think we'll hear less of the Swift Vote Brats now, because they could be a distraction from the GOP convention. You can't "vamp until ready" for too long before the audience gets impatient for the big number. Look for the SBVT to be replaced with something even more deeply offensive.
