For Bush Is An Honorable Man

NYTimes:

President Bush said on Thursday that he did not believe Senator John Kerry lied about his war record, but he declined to condemn the television commercial paid for by a veterans group alleging that Mr. Kerry came by his war medals dishonestly.

I'm feeling charitable and will give Bush credit for this, even though he continues to refuse to condemn the Swifties' attack ads, and there's lots of other wonderful fodder in this Times article. Thus, I will be removing the Bush Swiftboat Watch clock, which officially got to 21 days before Bush finally did the honorable thing.

Now, for all the wingers who have clung to the Swifties' story: are you going to follow Bush's lead, or are you calling Bush a liar?1

1 - That one's for you, Hubris. Knock it out of the park. You know what I mean.

PS--If nobody gets the post title, I'll be severely disappointed.

Have we really come to praise Bush and not to bury him? For my part, Bush is more fiddling Nero than Julius...

Thank you, guys. I figured my erudite readership would get it, but sometimes you just need to poke people with a stick to make sure they're paying attention...

NTodd,

Since you've acknowledged it, I won't say it. ;)

Man, I give you an easy pitch, and you just stand at the plate and take it. You'll never get to 500 homers with that attitude.
