No Frills, No Spills

Lance had a spill but is still in 6th, Tyler's in 13th.

I so didn't want to ride today, but I had no excuse not to. I'm happy to report I didn't fall like Lance did.

A bit slower pace than Thursday, though that's not suprising since I added part of Pain Hill1 (up to Copout Turn) and Last Gasp Hill to the route. Overall I was pretty pleased. My goal this weekend is to ride my old 19.3 mile "maintenance loop"--I fear Grinch Hill at about the 15 mile mark will do me in, but no guts, not glory!

1 - For the unitiated, I name various prominent features on my rides for whatever springs to mind when I first encounter them. Some nicknames have obvious origins (e.g., Pain Hill is excruciating at any point in the season), others come from deep within my free-associating consciousness (e.g., Grinch Hill, which is an absolutely crappy hill right by the house that puts out blinding light displays at X-mas).
