It's Getting Hot
We're finally going to see Fahrenheit 9/11 in just a bit. We're meeting my folks in Montpelier for some lunch, and then we'll all head over to the Savoy theater for a little subversive fun!
While I'm gone, don't forget to vote for your favorite Kerry ticket slogan in the Veepstakes contest...

I'm sure it's hilarious, truly. I think everyone should go. The more filthy rich, the filthy Moore gets, the more likely he is to start worrying about tax shelters, the value of the yen, and the tide charts in the Marquesas.
Besides, I remember National Lampoon and Mad Magazine. Anyone remember the floating Volkswagon Beetle ad, if Ted Kennedy had owned a VW he would be president now.
Even Iraqis sense of humor is returning:
Make sure you order plenty of butter for the popcorn.

I was actually pretty dissapointed by the movie. I thought it was way too affectionate in it's portrail of Bush. It's not nearly as damning as it could/should have been.
The scenes with Mrs Lipscombe at the end are very moving though. Probably the most powerful moments in the film. A rare glimpse of the true cost of war.

Saw it two days ago. Good message to those who haven't been exposed to these facts for three and a half years. Had to fight tears over the son lost in Iraq, that was hard to take. (Have son of draftable age).
But it has finally hit the mainstream news! Thank God for Michael Moore and his blustery ways.

RD, you're getting soft... unlike some others I could name, you didn't call Michael Moore "fat."
NTodd, I look forward to reading your review.
